Prix d’Excellence du Centre de recherche de Jülich en 2017. \nLauréat de la «Borchers-Plakette 2017». \n[/tm_pb_text][/tm_pb_column][tm_pb_column type= »2_3″][tm_pb_text admin_label= »Text » text_orientation= »left » use_border_color= »off » border_color= »#ffffff » border_style= »solid »] \nLe CO2 est le principal gaz à effet de serre produit par les activités humaines et il est considéré comme un des «pollu- ants» responsables du changement climatique. À cet égard\, des travaux importants sont engagés à travers le monde pour capter ce gaz et le stocker. Et pourtant\, il est envisagé de valoriser le gaz carbonique en le considérant comme une matière première à être utilisée comme une source de carbone non fossile pouvant être «recyclée» pour la fabrication chimique de produits à plus forte valeur énergétique ajoutée. Ainsi\, le CO2 pourrait être considéré comme réactif chimique et non comme un déchet. Le scientifique Dr. Félix Urbain\, physicien à l´Instituto de Investigación en Energía de Cataluña ( IREC ) à Barcelone\, se concentre actuellement dans ses recherches sur les matériaux et les processus photo-électrochmiques favorisants la conversion du CO2 en produits chimiques (gazeux ou liquides)\, comme p.ex. le gaz de synthèse ou le méthanol. Le sujet du «CO2 recycling» est hautement interdisciplinaire qui fait appel à la fois à la physique\, à la chimie et à l’ingénieurie. \nLors de sa conférence\, Félix Urbain introduira le sujet et présentera les récentes avancées dans l’exploitation du CO2\, tant au niveau scientifique qu’au niveau industriel.
